You may think harassment is not there in my organization, it may be more common than you think. in one instance filed at the  Equal Employment Opportunity Commission @ UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT EASTERN DISTRICT OF NEW YORK highlights the plight of women working for an industrial laundry plant in Newyork.

The workers who were mostly immigrants to USA , did not even knew their rights for a long time , and suffered brutal abuses at the hands of their managers. The worst part is they were retaliated by removing from their jobs for complaining against their manager.

What is important to note here is sexual harassment is much more common in workplace tha you may think. Also its equally important to understand workers do not complain due to host of reasons.Fear of losing their job, inability to understand,family circumstances,co-workers all contribute to women keeping quiet and continuing to suffer at the hands of others.

Sexual harassment leads to a hostile work environment 100% of the time. A hostile work environment is never good for anyone. 

Be aware of what you see and hear. Always remember "See something Say Something" 

Don´t assume women who are harassed always know their rights and will complain to ICC. If you know something and do not report you are equally liable too.
