Is being a girl a punishment or a curse .

 Is being a girl means losing her self-respect and still working for  family or for others. Is being a girl mean to spend the life in just the four walls of their home.

The questions above are being asked because of the undesirable behaviors of men in and outside homes where every second girl has to face daily as her routine activity in her lifespan.

Unwelcome and unwarranted behavior is known as sexual harassment.Sexual harassment is intimidation. Questions of the sexual nature, inappropriate promise of rewards in exchange for sexual favors, bullying and such others.

Sexual harassment takes place at any time by anyone in any form in any placeand have fun in public places, educational institutions and particularly in workplace, maybe even at home which are wrong.

Sexual harassment by and large can be verbal, invariably comments about one's body, spreading sexual rumors, unwanted accusations, cracking dirty jokes and talking about sex by way of a story.

Sexual harassment can also be physical sometimes like grabbing, rubbing, flashing, touching or pinching in a sexual way ,simply assaulting sexually or even molestation

Sexual harassment can also be visual like display of naked pictures or sex related objects, obscene gestures and the likes. Sexual harassment can happen to girls and boys two.This sexual harassment can be by fellow students, teachers, elders, coaches and other officials or your employer's, maybe superiors or even your fellow colleagues.

The victims of sexual harassment are mostly girls or women.It indicates that it is never safe for girls or women to move out of their houses as they are harassed everywhere. This is very common in workplace and even age is not a concern. Even little school girls or middle aged ladies are being sexually harassed or even molested many times and these things goes unnoticed or they just bury under the carpet because of the society where we look at this in a different way which is not correct.

Here is a story about a medical college female student who was studying in the first year was harassed by her professor to attent all his classes failing which the professor started insulting her and also humiliated her in the class .He once blackmailed her to spend a night, finally the girl complaint against the processor to the management of the college and continued her studies.

Fortunately their was internal complaints committee (ICC ) in that Institution and this helped the female students to get a solution for the problem by the detailed enquiry conducted and that resulted in the professor losing his job and student was kind enough not to take it to the police or to the authorities. If it had been done the professor  would have been behind the bars. In fact women should not stop at mear complaining and they should take it to the logical end and this case study becomes an example for other fellow students and also people like these professor, so that they don't cross the barrier and will be punished under the law on sexual harassment.
